WWT Martin Mere

Martin Mere is a wetland nature reserved owned by the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust.

There are more than 100 types of rare and endangered water-birds to hand feed plus a family of enchanting otters, as well as daily talks and feeds.

In spring and summer you can see new life develop with sightings of baby ducklings, goslings, cygnets and chicks springing up around the reserve with a duckling nursery open from late May.

An imaginative playground for young adventurers, an inspirational eco-garden and a rolling programme of events make it a great day out for any age. Don’t forget to see the 2017 sustainable garden donated from the Royal Chelsea Flower Show.

Other activities include a canoe safari and boat tour experience, den building, bug hunts and pond dipping sessions.
