Win £100 towards… Winner!

A huge thank you to all that entered our first Facebook competition! We love that you think there are so many wonderful places to eat in West Lancashire too.

Our winner has now been chosen at random from our final shortlist of seven, congratulations to Sharon Moorish.

I'd love to try Moor Hall as I don't think I'd get to go any other time. It looks lovely and the food looks like meals ive never tried before....posh. A real one off night out without the kids and only around the corner. Good food and company. Perfect.

For me (and for my family and the friends I've introduced there) it has to be The Peacock Chinese Restaurant opposite Stiles. The food is beautifully cooked and presented, and the table settings are faultless. I've watched them take off a tablecloth after the diners have left (that appeared spotless to me) and replace it with a freshly laundered one. There are matching cloth napkins at every meal and fresh warm towels after every hand-held starter. Prices seem not to reflect the care and quality that goes into every dining experience.

Quattros in Bickerstaffe. I have been poorly for 2 years and on hospital for the last 5 months and would love a meal at my favourite restaurant... Portions are generous and almost every dish encountered has an unusual aspect to it, making it exciting and original so you can thoroughly indulge in the eating!
The service is second to none, always made to feel welcomed and valued whether a regular or first time customer. The ambience is perfect and the dining tables situated perfectly for privacy yet company. Perfect for those who struggle with anxiety but also need to function in the presence of others

Moor Hall is the place I definitely want to visit in 2018. It looks amazing and is getting great reviews and won Lancashire restaurant of the year 2017. We nearly booked it for our office Xmas party until we realised we were looking at the wrong website of a moor hall in Wolverhampton! Since then it's been an office talking point and we all want to go. It would be a highlight of 2018 to have a meal there.?

Fat Italian in ormskirk is a firm family favourite. Great friendly and helpful staff who are always smiling and welcoming. You can never fault there food and lots of choice. I would take my husband Paul Pearce who has set up his own business recently and would like to reward all his hard work trying to make it succeed. As a small new business we love to support other small family business

There are so many excellent places you choose from... But I think The Cricketers; such a lovely pub / eatery; the food is always excellent and the staff so good. They also do their bit to support other local businesses by sourcing their ingredients locally. And it is a bit of a treat to go there. Fingers crossed
