Win £100 towards… Winner 2!

A huge thank you to all that entered our second Facebook competition! It’s fantastic that you think there are so many wonderful attractions in West Lancashire.

We had a number of fabulous entries and the shortlist was actually made up of 24!

Farmer Ted’s had the popular vote, it was great to see how loved it was by so many people. Some of the great comments also shortlisted were given for Windmill Animal Farm, Rufford Old Hall, and Ormskirk Market.

Our winner has now been chosen at random, congratulations to Helen Walters who voted for our feathered friends at Martin Mere.

Keep your eyes open and try your luck in the next competition, on Ormskirk’s Independent Retailers, later this year…

Would love to take my children to Martin Mere. We watch the birds flying over our house in the autumn/spring and we reckon they are from Martin Mere! So would be nice to see where they live. Also I haven’t been since I was a child! Fingers crossed!

Being able to groom the ponys & see lots of animals. My boys are 6 & 3 & would love to bring their cousins along too my eldest missed out on our last visit on superhero day as he had a tummy bug so we would love to return as a family

Farmer Teds... It's the perfect place to be to have a perfect day. There's a range of things for the children do and see, from feeding the animals to go karting. It's a brilliant day for the grown ups too as not only do you see your child having the time of their life you can join in the fun

It has to be..Farmer Teds! We absolutely love it here all year round. My youngest son loves the tractor rides the most (obsessed!) and there are lots of different animals to see. The Cafe serves delicious food and great coffee too! Farmer Christmas is the best festive experience around by far!

I would like to visit Martin Mere. I would love to take my grandchildren as I have not been since my own children were young and there appears to be so much more there. I would like to visit the Wild Walk and see all the wildlife and giant sculptures. They would love the flamingos and the otters. We could go on a boat tour and a canoe safari and then try the adventure play area and den building. It would be such a wonderful day out.

My son of 7 years has been asking to go to Farmer Ted's again he says it has the best slides of any attraction and he has fond memories of Christmas and seeing the Reindeers. He loves the sheep race too and the reptiles. There's so much to do here and lots of space he can run off energy indoors and outside which helps with his Autism.

I would like to visit Rufford Old Hall. It would bring back memories of visiting there as a child with my parents.
I just love visiting National Trust properties and imagining what it was like to live there. Sweeping down the staircase in my evening dress to meet my guests!!
Of course I would have to have afternoon tea in the tea room as a treat

Farmer Ted's for us! It's the perfect day out for my 3 year old and his cousins. I love how much the Farm has going on, the animals, tractor ride, mini beast house and of course the indoor soft play to keep them all busy whilst we have a coffee! There's always so much going on there throughout the year and we've been to Christmas wonderland 3 times with the little ones, not mention Farmageddon for the big ones! Farmer Ted's is flipping fun

Farmer Teds! Both of my children (now 6 and 2) have loved it since they were babies. We love the wide range of activities they have available. My 2 year old loves getting to pet the guinea pigs and always looks out for her favorite, Maggie the big flop eared bunny. She shouts and gets very excited when we go.

I would take my husband and 2 and 1 year old to Martin Mere as there always seems to be so much going on there - such as the jumping in muddy puddles (my daughter's favourite - thanks Peppa!) and the lego bird sculptures. My husband is doing two jobs so family time together would be really appreciated!
