Summer Events 2017

Ormskirk’s summer events are in full swing with music, art, delicious gingerbread and fabulous cars all making an appearance in Ormskirk Town Centre this summer! Following the recent Love Your Local Market celebrations which were a great success we’re looking forward to the wonderful atmosphere these events bring to our lovely town.

Visitors can find so much to enjoy in Ormskirk so people who haven’t visited recently really should come and take a look. Our large number of independent shops and restaurants, are complemented by Ormskirk Market every Thursday and Saturday and there are so many cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars to relax in too.

The whole family can enjoy wonderful live music as well as the Burscough Street Disco and Fairground organ. Circus entertainers will also be performing around the Town Centre.
If you’re into history you may want to take some time to visit OCP and local historian Gerard Swarbrick. They will be featuring photographs and maps of Ormskirk from different eras. Ormskirk and District Family History Group will also be attending and can advise people on tracing family history. The heritage theme continues with tours of Ormskirk Parish Church at set times.
