The Owl & The Pussycat is the theme of this embroidery class by Little House of Victoria
You can choose from either of the three designs; black cat, ginger cat or Mrs Owl and you will learn all of the stitches to be able to make your embroidery into a generous sized cushion when completed. Victoria will guide you through the basic stitches that are so easy to do with wool. This style of stitching is achievable for complete beginners, as you will learn one stitch at a time with beautiful pure wool threads. Advanced stitchers will also get a lot out of this unique way of stitching. The workshop includes all materials and a kit for you to take home. There will be beautiful quality Organic Cotton and Bamboo fabric panels with pure hand dyed wool threads, as well as embroidery needles and full printed instructions.
In the 3 hours you will get quite a lot of the stitching done, and every stitch will be demonstrated. There will be plenty of time to practice the stitches, and you will leave with confidence. Victoria will also equip you to finish the cushion at home with a simple blanket stitch and woven border stitch.
You will be guided through every stage:
- Tracing your design onto fabric, the easy way
- Placing your fabric into the hoop
- Threading the wool through the needle, with a very simple method
- Basic stitch styles, which are easy to master
Following the course, you will have extra support as Victoria will be available by email if you need any further advice, and there are stitch tutorial videos at my website. Included in the kit: Large Organic Cotton & Bamboo fabric panel, embroidery hoop, wool threads ready cut and stored on a handy Macrame ring. carbon tracing paper, embroidery needle, printed instruction booklet, and a calico bag to store everything in.
