Hospitality and Leisure Roundtable

Loading Events

What the event will be discussing

The pursuit of Net Zero, the Circular Economy and other so-called ‘mega trends’ are likely to have far reaching impacts on the technical skills and recruitment needs of businesses in Lancashire’s Hospitality and Leisure sectors.

This roundtable, hosted jointly by the Lancashire LSIP and Marketing Lancashire, will examine the key skills challenges that businesses can expect to face, how they are planning for them, and what local skills provision they think will be needed (and by when) in order to meet these challenges.

Format

The roundtable will address three questions. Each participant will be given the opportunity to contribute in turn and their responses will be recorded.

It is expected that the roundtable will take approximately 2 hours.

Outputs

Some of the individual responses gained at the roundtable may be featured in the LSIP report to Government when this is submitted to the Department for Education (DfE) in March 2022.

Additionally, a brief write-up of the roundtable will be published on the LSIP website in the form of a blog, as well as a more detailed review that will take the form of a shareable PDF.

Joining Details

The roundtable will take place online via Microsoft Teams, and an invitation will be sent to registered participants separately.
