Have you heard of paper quilling or paper filigree? It is a skill which dates back as far as the 4th and 5th centuries however Eden Tearoom & Galleries paper artist Rebecca has brought a modern contemporary style that creates wonderful 3D effect items, such as cards, frames, decorations, and keepsakes.
In our friendly and relaxed quilling class, Rebecca will guide you to create simple shapes using a variety of skills using paper quilling strips and a slotted tool:
- What the different tools are
- basic quilling techniques
- coils and scrolls
- freehand looping
In this workshop you will then assemble your quilling pieces into decorative designs. The designs will then be mounted onto a card.
You will be supplied with a beginners kit which you get to keep and take home at the end of the session with your card. (Slotted Tool, Circle Sizer, Quilling strips)
