Farmer Ted’s Adventure Farm
Farmer Ted’s Adventure Farm offers a great day out for ‘ewe’ and the whole family down on the farm. Whether there’s rain or shine, they have lots of indoor and outdoor activities to keep the kids entertained for hours, you can even meet some of their animals.
In 2019, Farmer Ted’s joined forces with Aardman, to create the UK’s only Shaun the Sheep Farm Adventure filled with themed activities. The sheep themed activities are in addition to some of original loved things to do; such as two enormous jumping pillows and a huge wooden maze. Meaning a visit will appeal to kids of all ages, making it the perfect place for a family day out.
Located on the B5195 between Ormskirk and Formby and only ten mins from the M58 and M57.

Beacon Country PArk
Explore over 300 acres of rolling countryside including meadows, grassland and woodland, at Beacon Country Park in Up Holland (WN8 7RU). An extensive path network means that everyone can explore the park and there is plenty of space to walk, run, ride horses or bicycles, fly kites, or just get away from it all and relax while taking in the views.
Beacon Country Park is also home to the West Lancashire Parks and Countryside Ranger Service who often run events and activities that you can enjoy when you visit.
Your visit isn’t complete without popping into Coppice Café to enjoy their range of fresh, locally sourced food and drink.
Fun Arena
Located on the former H.M.S Ringtail in Burscough, a World War Two Royal Navy airfield, the Fun Arena is West Lancashire’s largest inflatable and soft play centre where excitement soars to new heights.
With a variety of air force based areas, there’s something for everyone from toddlers, teens and even parents to enjoy including;
The Captain’s Castle – An inflatable assault course perfect for putting that sibling rivalry to the test… no matter what age you are
The Captain Imaginarium – An interactive area of Fun Arena filled with with sensory activities to stimulate cadets’ hand-eye coordination
Sky Fort – An extreme 3 leveled-climbing frame extravaganza, complete with magnificent maze of ladders, slides and unexpected obstacles – an ideal zone for active children
Toddler Land – A dedicated inflatable area for the smallest cadets, where they are free to play among vibrant colours and soft shapes
The Fun Arena comes complete with plenty of seating and a viewing gallery, so even if you grown ups don’t want to take part in the activities, you can get into Fun Arena to be a spectator – and for free!

Moss Farm Barn, which was once part of Lord Derby’s estate is perfect for up to 4 people, and comes with a fully equipped kitchen diner.
