Mark Birchall, Chef Patron at Moor Hall in Aughton, has been awarded the coveted AA Chefs’ Chef Award at the prestigious AA Hospitality Awards. Selected by AA Rosette-awarded chefs, this is a unique award recognising the best chef in the UK, as chosen by their peers.
The AA Hospitality Awards seek to recognise and acknowledge the crème de la crème of the hospitality industry, with this year’s swanky ceremony held at Grosvenor House in London this week, which was the first in-person ceremony for three years.
“Thank you so much. It means a lot. It’s lovely to be among so many people. I’m very lucky I’ve got a great team around me.”
Since opening five years ago, Mark has secured Moor Hall’s reputation as one of the UK’s best restaurants, achieving five AA Rosettes, and an additional three AA Rosettes for the Barn. Alongside achieving a Silver award in VisitEngland’s Awards for Excellence 2022, Moor Hall was also recently named as ‘Best Restaurant in England’ at the Estrella Damm National Restaurant Awards 2022.
