Congratulations to Moor Hall for their recent achievement in receiving 3 Michelin Stars.
Having received their first two Michelin Stars in 2017 and 2018, the third Star this year signifies the dedication and skill of Chef Patron Mark Birchall and the team. The award considers not only the quality of the dishes, but also the environment and service provided, all of which were of the highest standard.
Under Mark’s patronage, Moor Hall has gained three Michelin Stars, a Michelin Green Star and five AA Rosettes. It has received the ‘Restaurant of the Year’ Award at the Estrella Damm National Restaurant Awards in 2021, as well as ‘Best Restaurant in England’ in both 2022 and 2023. On top of this, Moor Hall was ranked third best restaurant in the country in 2024.

I simply cannot express how delighted I am, this has been my life’s dream, to create an experience for our guests which is truly special.
We started out 8 years ago with an outrageous ambition to create a world class dining destination in the north of England. We were awarded our first star a few months after we opened in 2017, then our second just the year later, now – just eight years from the day we opened our doors, we are awarded 3 stars .
The journey to 3 stars has been one of commitment, determination, and passion, not only from myself, but my amazing team. This is a dream come true. I will forever be grateful and humbled by this momentous achievement
